Pretty “Soulfull”

by Josephine Cusumano
What do Wegmans, The Food Bank of South Jersey, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and Philabundance all have in common? The Soulfull Project. Developed by four Campbell’s Soup employees, the project allows communities to directly help feed the hungry with a healthy alternative, multigrain hot cereal cups, all through donation.

“For every serving of our product someone buys, we donate a serving back to our regional food bank,” explains Head of Business Megan Shea. Available for purchase at select Wegmans or online, The Soulfull Project’s first donation of over 21,000 servings to the Food Bank of South Jersey was given last November after being in-store for only three months.

With the project quickly expanding into more Wegmans and additional food banks across the region starting this month, the team credits their hometown for their success. “To the people of South Jersey, thank you. The response and support over the past three months while we’ve been in market … has been amazing … It’s been overwhelming and it keeps us going.”
