An Elevated Experience
With championship golf, dynamic dining and first-class amenities, Medford Village continues to offers its members “the best of everything.”

by John Anthony
Coming off a cold, dreary, snow-covered winter, many golf enthusiasts across South Jersey are clamoring for clear skies, dry conditions and a return to their home away from home: the golf course.

With such anticipation for the warmer months ahead, the responsibility isn’t just to meet expectations—but exceed them. Medford Village Country Club embraces this challenge, building on its longstanding reputation for exceptional service and premier amenities.

As Medford Village enters its 62nd season, members and guests can look forward to exciting developments that will continue to elevate the club experience, from premier championship golf to course enhancements and dynamic new leadership in the kitchen.

Medford Village’s dedicated management team—Bob Doria (PGA general manager and director of golf), Bruce Rickert, CGCS (superintendent), Dan Kunze (food and beverage director), Brian Cohan (executive chef) and Christian Simms (PGA head golf professional)—is committed to creating a welcoming, inspiring and inclusive atmosphere. With a passion for excellence, they continuously elevate the member experience by challenging the status quo and pushing the boundaries of exceptional service.

Recently, Medford Village welcomed Cohan as its new executive chef. With more than 15 years of professional culinary experience, the classically trained chef is known for blending global flavors and brings a diverse background spanning Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, French and Asian cuisines.

Chef Cohan recently served as executive sous chef for Aramark’s Sports and Entertainment division, where he helped oversee culinary operations at one of the company’s busiest venues. His experience also includes time as sous chef at Pine Tree Golf and Country Club in Boynton Beach, Florida as well as at Addison Reserve Country Club in Delray Beach, Florida.

Along the fairways, continued investment in course conditions remains a top priority. Last year, Medford Village retained agronomy consultant Steve McDonald, who has worked closely with the USGA and several notable courses throughout the Philadelphia region.

Most recently, the club completed an extensive tree management initiative, removing approximately 200 dead or diseased trees around the 5th and 6th greens, the 15th green, the 16th hole, and the 7th and 17th tee boxes. These improvements enhance air circulation, increase sunlight exposure and promote stronger, healthier turfgrass throughout the course. As these agronomic enhancements continue to take effect, members can expect improved playability and course conditioning.

These improved conditions will also be on full display when the club once again hosts a local qualifier for the United States Golf Association U.S. Open on April 27. A field of 126 players will compete for coveted spots in the Championship, scheduled for June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

Spectators are welcome at no charge, making this a wonderful opportunity for members and the community to witness some of the region’s most talented players as they vie for a place on one of golf’s biggest stages.

Away from the greens, Medford Village’s Member’s Grill remains a popular choice after your round thanks to its Glycol tap system which will properly chill 10 tap offerings, allowing for more seasonal and unique options for members and their guests during the season.

With space to accommodate up to 175 people, the beautiful ballroom is ready to host any number of celebratory events from weddings, mitzvahs, birthdays, showers and so much more. Please note, you don’t need to be a member to have your event held at the club.

What’s more, the pool at Medford Village enhances the member experience with a relaxing atmosphere. Guests can enjoy poolside seating with tables, chairs and umbrellas for shade while enjoying refreshments from the nearby snack bar.

Medford Village offers more than just golf—it’s a premier destination for a well-rounded club experience. Golf, social and swim memberships are now available for the 2026 season. If you’re looking for the “best of everything,” Medford Village is the perfect fit. Contact Karli Krasner, marketing and membership coordinator, for more details and a tour of the facility.

Whether you’re out on the course, enjoying a meal or relaxing by the pool, the commitment to excellence remains at the heart of everything Medford Village does.
