A roundup of what’s new and notable at the region’s top golf clubs.

 After a long winter, many golfers are extremely eager to pull out their drivers and head out to their favorite local courses to shake off some rust. While the snow and gloomy weather were certainly a factor this offseason, the region’s golf clubs have been hard at work making sure things are in optimal shape come this spring. We once again spoke with folks from the tri-county area down to the Shore to find out what new and notable things are taking place to help improve conditions and the overall experience.
 
PRIVATE
 
Burlington Country Club
Despite the harsh winter, Burlington’s Michelle Dilks says the course’s conditions are perhaps the best they have ever been as the club gears up for its 100th anniversary season in just a few years. Over at The Grill Room, members enjoy both the approachable menu and new specialty items like the rotating burger of the week.  
 
Medford Lakes Country Club
Medford Lakes recently finished a complete locker/simulator room renovation that included building two state-of-the-art simulators and updating both the men’s and women’s locker room areas. What’s more, a new men’s game room was built as an addition to the building, giving members further reason to linger before or after their round. 
 
Medford Village Country Club
Brian Cohan has joined the team at Medford Village as its new executive chef, bringing more than 15 years of culinary experience to the job. Over on the course, the club removed approximately 200 dead or diseased trees to enhance air circulation and promote stronger, healthier turfgrass throughout the course. 
 
Merchantville Country Club
Merchantville has engaged golf course architect Jim Nagle to craft a plan that will enhance playability while preserving the course’s unique look and feel. Meanwhile, the club’s Trackman 4 simulator offers leagues, lessons and club fittings, and the club has introduced a new shuffleboard league as well. 
 
Moorestown Field Club
Over the past year, members have enjoyed continued progress in the club’s comprehensive updates, including a notable redesign of the third fairway and the addition of new teeing areas. Wayne Gutekunst, the club’s new bar and restaurant manager, has filled the calendar with social events while new tennis pro Alvaro Bias offers personalized lessons and expanded play opportunities. 
 
Riverton Country Club
Riverton Country Club is introducing The Loop House, its newest stop on the course. It will offer full-service drinks and small bites to members looking to recharge before heading back onto the course. Newly renovated bathrooms have also been added and are connected to the shack. 
 
The Legacy Club
TiGi George has joined the club as its new food and beverage director, overseeing the program at Randall’s Restaurant. Members will also notice the five new pickleball courts to be unveiled this spring. Along the course, recent upgrades include the expansions of the 8th, 10th and 13th holes. Complementing these enhancements are significant upgrades to the club’s irrigation system, major equipment acquisitions and the introduction of the new indoor Trackman golf simulator system. There are also planned renovations to the men’s locker room and the pool where a new outdoor bar and expanded seating areas are expected. 
 
PUBLIC
 
Golden Pheasant Golf Club, Rancocas Golf Club & The Links Golf Club
These three sister courses spread across Burlington County are now offering a Triple Play membership ($599) which gives frequent golfers discounted access to all three venues throughout the season. Members can take advantage of half off the guest rate before 1 p.m. daily, afternoon rates of $39 weekday/$46 weekend between 1-4 p.m., and twilight rates of $34 weekday/$36 weekend after 4 p.m. Further benefits include a cart, range balls and a 10% pro shop discount. 
 
Pitman Golf Course
Pitman’s restaurant was renovated, transforming the deck into a four-season room with two separate service areas. The club is also in the midst of looking to hire a new assistant superintendent to work under Rick Benfield, head superintendent. Next year will be Pitman’s centennial season and plans are already in the works to mark the occasion.
 
Ramblewood Country Club
Ramblewood is upgrading the look of its clubhouse, revamping the cart paths and removing a lot of trees to help with turf growth and playability. The club has also welcomed Jake Lasco as superintendent. 
 
RiverWinds Golf & Tennis Club
RiverWinds has added three new teeing areas to hole No. 2, with the expanded teeing ground enabling the club to move the tees for roughly three weeks to help improve turf conditions before they are returned to their original location. 
 
Town & Country Golf Links 
After 25 years, Paul Greer retired as Town & Country’s longtime superintendent. He has been replaced by Timothy Graham, who brings more than two decades of experience in turfgrass management and golf club leadership, having most recently served as superintendent at Wedgwood Country Club.
 
Valleybrook Country Club
Valleybrook’s junior golf camps involve personal clinic instruction, team competitions, live golf course experience and tournament opportunities. There are six different camps to choose from this year and each is designed for beginning to intermediate level golfers, boys and girls, ages 7 to 12.
 
THE SHORE
 
Avalon Golf Club
Avalon Golf Club has a new indoor lounge area where guests and members can enjoy food and drink while playing on the two Trackman simulators available. In personnel news, the club has welcomed Liam Idsardi as its new assistant golf professional. 
 
Blue Heron Pines Golf Club
The club has done extensive tree work around the course in addition to installing drainage and adding sod to help improve the overall playing conditions. In other news, Joshua Connor has taken over as Blue Heron Pines’ new golf course superintendent.
 
Hidden Creek Golf Club
Part of the Dormie Network, Hidden Creek is set to host five member events in 2026. Other points of interest include the newly renovated pro shop and menu additions like lobster wontons and the bone-in pork chop Milanese. 
 
LBI National Golf Club
Noticeable changes at LBI National include a remodeled pro shop, new Yamaha GPS systems added to all carts, a Golf Genius Tournament software upgrade and new tee sheet and POS software that allows for easier group bookings and has a credit book for tournament winnings. 
 
The Shore Club
The Shore Club has welcomed Nate Eichner as its new head golf professional. Eichner arrives from The Philadelphia Cricket Club and brings experience in both private club operations and player development. To help improve the member and guest experience, the club is also building a new putting green which was designed by golf architect Tyler Rae. 
 
Vineyard National at Renault
Vineyard National is upgrading its food and beverage experience on the course this spring with the debut of its updated menu at The Vineyard Snack Shack, located at the turn. Golfers can expect an expanded selection of convenient options and quick bites.
