Morgan Crothers
This special education teacher and department coordinator at Seneca High School was just named 2021 Teacher of the Year after being nominated by her colleagues who praised Crothers for going above and beyond to help her students find success. Crothers attended both Rowan and Nova Southeastern universities and she holds a bachelor’s degree in teacher of the handicapped and a master’s degree in teaching and learning.

Jiannan Cheng

Cheng has been named the new music director of the Rowan University Symphony Orchestra. Prior to joining the university this fall, she held similar roles at Fordham University as well as the University of Cincinnati’s College of Conservatory Music. Through the rest of the year, Cheng will lead the Rowan ensemble through a series of virtual performances streaming on Rowan’s website.

Alexa Antonelli
A junior at Cherokee High School, Antonelli was recently honored with the Widener University/NBC 10 High School Leadership Award. She was one of 160 students from across the Delaware Valley who were recognized for the difference they make both in the classroom in the surrounding community. Should Antonelli choose to attend Widener after graduating next year, she would receive a $20,000 scholarship.
