Kate Bilo
CBS 3 Chief Meteorologist

After a long week on the set, how do you like to unwind?
My best weekends are those that I lounge around with my husband and kids, read a good book, and drink some really great coffee. I also frequent an amazing cardio kickboxing class, which helps me unwind in a whole different way.

What’s one song or artist you listen to that might surprise people?
I’m a huge hip-hop fan and listen to a lot of Jay-Z and Drake. I’m also an unabashed fan of Rage Against the Machine since college. But I also balance that with classical/piano music quite often— Ludovico Einaudi is my favorite modern composer and pianist.

What do you love most about the holidays?
I’m such a huge Christmas lover. Growing up, my mom used to do Christmas BIG. Since she passed six years ago, I’ve taken up the mantle and tend to go way overboard every year. It’s my favorite holiday and I love everything about it.

Do you have any favorite places in South Jersey that you like to visit?
I’d say my favorite place is the town of Haddonfield.
I love strolling the streets and popping into the little shops and restaurants.
If we’re talking the Shore, I spent a week or two every summer growing up in Stone Harbor with my family, and we have continued that tradition with our kids. Now, they can grow up not only loving Hoy’s and Springer’s and the Bread and Cheese Cupboard, but also the delight that is the Cape May Point Red Store, our favorite spot to eat down the Shore.

Alex Holley
Fox 29 Good Day Philadelphia Co-Host

What is your favorite part about being a television personality, especially in this market?
The viewers! Good Day Philadelphia and its viewers really are a family. From the tough conversations about what’s going on in the world, to all the laughs and funny skits, interactions during our newscast— it’s more than just news. It feels like mingling with family members.

After a long week on the set, how do you like to unwind?
I like to slow things down. I relax at home and catch up on shows, watch movies by the fireplace or get together with close friends.

What do you love most about the holidays?
I love being around family and friends. It’s when everyone takes the time to think about what’s really important in life, even though that should be remembered all year. Holidays are the special time of year that makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

Do you have any favorite places in South Jersey that you like to visit?
I am still new to the area so I am exploring new places. I have had a chance to visit Haddonfield and I adore it. I think the downtown area is a very quaint place. I love to casually stroll through the area, shop at the boutiques and grab something to eat in one of the local cafes. Plus, during the holidays, you can do candlelight shopping.

Cecily Tynan
6 ABC Chief Meteorologist

What is your favorite part about being a television personality, especially in this market?
Definitely connecting with 6 ABC viewers. I’ve been at Action News for 20 years now and I feel like viewers are part of my extended family. When I meet people and they say, “I feel like?I know you,” I tell them that they do!

After a long week on the set, how do you like to unwind?
Being with family and getting active outside.
I love running trails with my husband and our youngest dog—we have three, but two are seniors. My children are very active in sports, so fall and spring week- ends are on the soccer field, winter weekends are spent skiing in the Poconos, and summer weekends water skiing. Nothing beats family time for recharging your batteries.

What’s one song or artist you listen to that might surprise people?
I’ve loved Led Zeppelin since my high school days. “Kashmir” is my favorite song of theirs. I like to blast it in my car driving to work, singing along, of course. Yes, I’m a “Led Head.”

Do you have any favorite places in South Jersey that you like to visit?
I love North Wildwood. We used to own a small condo at 11th and JFK. It is the perfect location: right across from the big beach and just a few blocks from the super- fun Boardwalk. My favorite time to go is late September when the crowds are gone, but it’s still warm and all the Boardwalk shops have big end of season sales!

Jessica Boyington
NBC 10 Traffic Reporter

What is your favorite part about being a television personality, especially in this market?
I get to be in Philadelphia and I was born [here] so I didn’t have to travel far and wide to find my dream job; I found it right here where I live. A lot of people can’t say that.

After a long week on the set, how do you like to unwind?
The weekends come around and I don’t want to get ready at all.
I don’t want to put makeup on; I want to be in sweatpants. But I like to go to dinner because I don’t go out a lot during the week because I wake up at 2:30 in the morning.

What do you love most about the holidays?
I just love the general feeling you used to get when you were a little kid and somehow even as an adult you still kind of feel that way. It’s exciting. I love the decorations, I love the music.

You’re from South Jersey, where are some of your favorite places to hang out?
I love the Collingswood area and the cool restaurants. Giumarello’s [in Haddon Township] is one of my favorite places. The Bread Board [in Haddonfield] is my favorite lunch spot. There are so many places in Jersey that I love.
