Not a single one of them raise their hand to draw attention One of my favorite things each year is to the all the great work they do . It’s simply not about them , when we get the chance to put together it’s about helping the next person who needs it more . this issue and shine a much - deserved We carefully choose the spotlight on several local ladies who are women we feature every year and effecting change all across the South purposely celebrate them not for their professional accom - Jersey community . The Super Women plishments — though , rest assured , they are also impressive — that we feature every fall are undeniably but instead for the lasting impact they are having on others ’ worthy for the way they selflessly give lives through volunteer work , nonprofit organizations , philan - back and they serve as a useful thropic endeavors and more . reminder during this tumultuous time Since I have arrived at the magazine in 2009 , we have intro - in our country that good people doing duced our readers to hundreds of these area women . We hope good things can unite folks from all that you are as in awe of them as we have been . And to know walks of life . that there are so many other talented and motivated women My late mother was always one to lend a hand whenever all across South Jersey who are doing equally wonderful things she could . No matter the cause , she would offer her time , means that we’ll never run out of beautiful stories to tell . Con - money or whatever was needed to let others know she was grats to all those who have graced these pages , both past and there to offer her present , and we look forward to finding out who we’ll be support . To that end , it was quite fitting when inspired by next . the middle school in Washington Township she taught at for decades decided to recognize her earlier this year by dedicating Kind regards , a bench in her honor in the courtyard overlooking the building . To hear so many of her colleagues and close friends speak so highly of her was emotional for my sisters and me ; but I couldn’t help but think how embarrassed my mom would be to hear this praise being heaped upon her .
