It was like a scene out of a movie , it was so almost immediately asking if I wanted his perfect . extra ticket for Game 5 . While I normally Walking out of the ballpark that evening , I was hardly the would have loved to take him up on the only one experiencing the euphoric feeling of having the offer , I was scheduled to hop on a plane a Phillies back in the World Series . I high - fived more strangers . few days later for a quick getaway and felt When the opportunity arose for my friend and I to get it’d be best if I kindly declined . He was World Series tickets , it was fate that would put us back in the incredulous . So was I , frankly . stands for another Game 5 . Unfortunately , things didn’t turn After a few more attempts to cajole me , my wife finally out the way we had hoped . And while our Game 5 mojo may stepped in and told me I should go to the game . After all , she have taken a hit , I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy this not only understood the magnitude of the moment , she also playoff run immensely . The unexpectedness of it all only added knew that Game 5s were special . That’s because my friend and to the excitement and I was thrilled to be able to witness some I had attended Game 5 of the 2008 World Series ( both times ) of it in person .
