The real-life Fault in Our Stars couple, Dalton and Katie Prager, has touched thousands of lives through their story of love despite their life-threatening battle with cystic fibrosis. Just days after Dalton’s death in 2016 at age 25, his wife passed away at age 26, due to complications from the same disease.

One local in particular, singer/songwriter and 2012 Moorestown High School graduate Carly Eden, was inspired by the Pragers’ love story and took to her music to pay tribute to their young love. “Since the song itself didn’t seem like nearly enough of a tribute to Katie and Dalton on my part, I decided to learn more about what I could do to help the moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe, afflicted with the same disease as the couple,” Eden explains.

As a result, the singer released “Young”—with a music video to follow later this month—and in collaboration with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a donation is being made to the foundation with every song purchase. Additionally, Eden performed for Great Strides NYC this past June and joined the walk. “Every song purchase helps,” she adds. “New treatments and drugs are helping those with [cystic fibrosis] live better lives, but so far, no cure for this devastating disease has yet been discovered.”

“Young” is available everywhere digital music is sold and to learn more, visit CFF.org.
